CA2 Work: Disaster

In the workplace, Masato and his colleagues are working as usual. He been working here for a least 5 years and he has never met any accidents in the Power Plant. He has never thought that the moment that when an accident happens, it is going to be this serious…
It was 14 March at that time when Reactor 4 exploded. It was quite a distance from where Masato was so he can hear the explosion and the building is shaking. Masato and his colleagues started evacuating as they will train in drill, since the power plant is a dangerous place. The 3 of them were running down the stairs in order, trying hard not to trip and nobody tried to overtake each other as there was not space. When they reach ground floor, the ground started to shake even more, making the ceiling fan crash down on the floor and sparks fly all over the place. No one dares to look at it thinking that they might hurt their eyes.
There are quite a few exits from where they are, they just rush towards the exit that seems nearest. Despite being the nearest, the exit is still quite far away since that this place is made to held lots of workers. The other people seem to have already evacuated and the place look empty so there is a clear road for them to go towards the exit.
Turning the corner and Masato saw a man with his right leg full of blood. Masato reach out to him,” you need help, climb on to me.” The man look like he is drain off of energy, weakly reaching out to Masato. Carrying an injured man has slowed down Masato but his friends are loyal enough to walk with Masato helping him to reach the exit. The ground is still shaking, making Masato footsteps to be more and more unstable.
Before he notice what was happening, his colleague walking behind him was already lying underneath the shelf of books. Masato was in shock but he did not forget about that injured man he was carrying, putting him down slowly then walk towards his silent colleague. Looking down at the situation, his other colleague shaking his friend, “come on...” obvious that his voice is shaking,” wake up... this is no time to be asleep...” shaking even harder then tears started to roll down his cheek,” your wife and your children is still waiting for you at home... WAKE UP!”
“There is no breathing, he is dead.” Masato said as he patted his crying colleague’s shoulder. “Let’s continue, this building is going to collapse anytime now we need to hurry.” Masato rubbed his eyes and continue to carry the injured man.
The exit can be seen now, Masato and his colleague are so happy... then suddenly an earthquake strike and the ceiling collapse, blocking the exit. Three seconds, in those three seconds a part of the ceiling fall and Masato watch as it fall above his colleague. He did not realise that he have help his friend block and now there is blood flowing down his right arm. His colleague is ready to burst into tears any second. “This exit is block, let’s go to another one.” Masato say it with strength despite the sharp pain in his arm sapping his life away.
This time they reach the other exit without any event, rescues have arrived and they return back to their family. Masato went to the hospital; do not know what happened to the other survivors, the doctor said his arm is beyond repaired. Unable to work anymore, Masato went back to his family at Osaka.
